this is horrible, I knew Ethan, what a great kid...he was really good buddies with Gman too. What a tragedy and shock. My prayers are with his family, and for everyone who knew him. Here's his website. www.ethanstrauserphotography.smugmug.com/He was a regular goofy college kid with dreams of finishing school, and getting a job taking pictures. I think he pulled the hole shot in his first ever moto in Bozeman last fall on Ryno's 450. Adam

I been wanting to post something but its been really hard. It still hasn’t sunk in. I still think he just left for the summer like he planned and I’ll see in August. I talked with him the night before. He was so excited to get the internship at Panic Rev. Ministries, but was sad because he we couldn’t go racing this summer (we spent several night and weekends the last few weeks riding and he was getting fast on the ol 734!). He did make it to one race this year in Anaconda and did awesome for his second race on a dirt scooter! He was so excited and told me all about it at our weekly dinner we did ever Tuesday at Buffalo Wild Wings. There are so many great things I can say about him. He has been my best friend for the past year and a half...pretty much since the day I met him. We spent a lot of time together, riding, playing video games (he always kicked my butt), watching Supercross and working on his trucks! . I really don't wanna talk about how it happened, its tough to think about it so I've been trying to block it out of head (lots of beer). Other than being a great photographer he was the best friend someone could have. He always listened and cared about what you had to say. He was also strong with God, and I’m sure he is with him now (I’ve asked Ethan to take care of my Dog Sarge till I get there. I’ve been on the phone with his dad a lot, and all of his family is trying to get to Oregon for the memorial. His sister is having some trouble coming up with some funds for a last minute plane ticket and I may ask you, his Motocross family to help make this happen (I'll keep you posted). His dad asked me to sort thru his stuff in storage tomorrow, not looking forward to that. As of right now, it looks like I may be going to Oregon this weekend to bring his family his personal effects. Also, we are trying to put arrange a memorial service via SKYPE here in Bozeman that will be broadcast to the church in Oregon. I would encourage anyone that can come do so. His family mentioned that they would like to hear from his friends around here (I'll keep everyone posted here and on FB on a time and place). That's all I can think for right now. Message or call me if you have any questions. 570-6399 If you have any kind words to say about Ethan I'm sure his family would like to hear them. Please post anything here and I'll send his family the link. God Bless, Gman

When I met Ethan for the first time out at Springtime riding, it was one of the best days cause of the rain the berms were forming nicely. Just me and my brother. Then in comes this lanky kid on a quad blowing out all those beautiful berms. Ha ha! After a couple laps he came over and introduced himself and apologized for that and the massive amount of roost he was throwin! Which i thought was funny, cause im not a quad hater. And did'nt mind at all. We got to B.S'n and found out we were born in the same hospital in good old Walla Walla. Small world. I can honestly say He was one of the nicest dudes I have ever met. Super tallented with a camera with a true love for our sport. I still can't believe he is gone. And the world is a darker place without his light! He will be greatly missed! My thoughts go out to the Strauser family. He was a One hell of a good man, and i am proud to of known Him! Ride In Peace Brother!

I don't even know where to start. Have had many great memories with E over the last year or so. Great kid, great friend, and he will be missed by many. I was so proud of him at Anaconda when he charged his way back to 3rd in moto 2 that day. He never gave up and after the moto I told him that his first trophy will always be special not just because it was his first but how he worked for it so hard. To see him smile that day I knew he was so happy words couldn't describe it. That's the Ethan I will always remember and I cherish the friendship we had. Rest in piece my friend. I will see you again someday. Just save me a spot on the start line with ya!
Love you E!!!!

Ethan's family will have the main memorial service in Oregon. Another memorial service will be held for Ethan this Saturday (May 12th) at the E-Free Church in Bozeman at 4:00 pm (1701 South 19th Ave). It will be broadcast (Live) to his family and friends via Skype at the same time the memorial service is occurring back in Oregon (I hope the technology works! Maybe say a quick prayer. Seriously.) His family would like to hear from a few of Ethan's close friends. So basically you will sit in the "hot seat" and say a few words to his family back home. Thats it I guess. If you have any questions or concerns, give me a call or message me 406-570-6399. I'll post any other info as it come available. Please get the word out about our good friend. Miss ya buddy... Thanks...God bless John J. Gonzalez

I raced with him in Anaconda, seems pretty crazy to think about. Prayers are with his family! After the moto first moto he came up to me, and laughed at our start... He got me on the wholeshot and i went into the side of his bike screaming "SH!T" haha he was a really nice kid. RIDE IN PEACE. You will be missed E, for you photography skills, and your friendlyness.
