Maybe someone can help me out. Being kinda new to the 65cc class with my boys things did not add up. 10.00 Each to get in to the track 25.00 Each to race I am ok with cost to get in and race. Here is question. Each boy got 1-practic lap and 2-2 lap motos. That’s SEVEN dollars a lap. This is absurd. These kids are the future pro riders that will keep HCMA alive. I understand the 50s being timed races due to some are fast and some pretty slow. Been there….Come on two laps. These 65 kids are all pretty fast and wait all day for 2-2-lapers SO WHAT’S UP WITH THIS My boys were pretty disappointed. We all did enjoy the track. Thanks Helena

I am not sure where you live but for 65 or 85 riders I feel venturing to Spokane or small venues like in Fossil Bowl, Idaho are very geared to mini guys/gals. I stronglly encourage the westmont races to get maximum seat time or bang for the buck. Accordingly you will find that HCMA is not interested in pro level riders (thus our current turn-outs and non-pro level riders being advanced to such. Accordingly, your youngster will have a hard time progressing to that level if your intent is to hit the 7 or 8 races HCMA has with the current talent pool. Good luck to you and yours!

Starting to think there is somethin shady going on in the hcma? I cant post my opinion about something without it being taken off here right away? Nothing i said was inappropriate or vulgar. So why did my comments get erased off of here if it wasnt something people were worried about others reading? If there's favortism going on people need to know about it.

This site has nothing to do with the HCMA other then we offer some information about the organization on one of our pages. The reason I remove topics is because I want posts to be positive not an outlet for a bunch of BS. If you have a complaint with the HCMA contact one of the officers. Here is a good example of how I want the site used. - mtmx.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=motochatter&action=display&thread=2196

Isn't the site for montana motocross? Which includes the HCMA? moto288 I think the pro class funneled out after last year when the pay out was cut. I too miss having a minimum of 10 riders in that class. I no the Flathead area has a decent number of "pro" riders. The west mont races have more "pro" riders on the gate then the state races do! From what I heard about #200 being kicked out for the year you are correct, so that just dropped the pro count to 3-4!

Isn't the site for montana motocross? Which includes the HCMA? That's true, but the site does NOT belong to the HCMA.

He didnt pass on a Yellow flag that I saw, but I wasnt racing nor was this official..like I said just like high school sports!!! what i saw was he went around a lapper after the yellow flag. and they accused him of racing under yellow?? ...how can you be racing a lapper...lol...pres and v pres..had a hard on for him. I tried to protest and they didnt want to hear it, just like when they screwed griswald in nirada!!! trust me a Pro rider even a montana pro knows the rules of yellow, so if such occured other than that with the mud and so forth joey may of had an explanation that should of been heard!

and yes dean , I agree on the b.s. However I want the racers to know the TRUTH. Anyone over here West know that we are not racers who dis obey race rules such as yellow flags. Accordingly, the "officers" especially pres and v. pres do not represent there members in a "official" level headed , democratic matter, thus I want our members to band together and get some new blood next year. I feel they are self serving , mini parents. We need to maybe elect pres who does not have personal agendas or kids racing! I have seen 2 total out of control reactions by our vice pres. the previous in Nirada , and then Helena. That is not how you handle protests, or objections by making rulings without all the facts or talking to all parties in volved. Nor do you threaten your members because you dont want to hear the protest. I want him to know he will never get away with talking to me like that again. bottom line. hope to see you at a race in the future. peace out.

Boyz take it to the general board "you can talk about anything there!" I haven't been on here for a while but I do think the HCMA has lost touch with our states MX enthusiasts over the years. I worked hard just to get to a race in the day and now $$$$$$$, its an costly venture for a family. Thus why kick the kid (Vessie) out without discussion....... who made that call...I don't think any rider should be kick out of anything unless members and riders are present to discuss the issue. We do this for the love of the sport... RIGHT!!!! MK

I agree!!! If your kids are going to be racers than the parents shouldnt be part of officials. Should be fun for everyone, not just for favored people. Everybody pays so treat everybody the same!

who in their right mind would want to pack up all their stuff and head to a race to go and deal with all the drama that goes down at an hcma event...I am saying you would be pretty hard pressed to find some one that is not connected to a rider. Change is a great thing!...It creates fresh approaches and in my oppinion it is time for the HCMA to take a big breath of fresh air! I will say that the official in question of favortism is nothing but a great and fair man, sure his kid may of taken an extra lap,but I will bet my life that he had nothing to do with it his boy took it upon himself to take the extra lap after all when has the little guy ever only had one lap of practice...and the flagging issue do you really think that the flagger knew that the little guy who wrecked was an officials kid.Certainly an unfortunate occurance of circumstances, but bottom line it all comes back to the riders, we as parents and their instructors need to make sure that they understand with out any doubt.

In my oppinion the pro class took a dump with the pro purse cut backs a few years ago, right about the same time the economy tanked...Our lame non-advancing intermediates over the past few years sure haven't helped out much(if that comment bothered you, you are most likely one of the lamres I am talking about) either!
