Hello...we are new to this sport (raced partial year last year for the first time)and are from Corvallis and was wondering if anyone can tell us anything about the track in florence?? Where it is, is it open for practice at all contact info etc??? Thank you so much for your time. Sorry to be a bother. Just trying to learn so we can compete well
Hey Homeslice333! The new track is up 8 mile. I know the owner is still in the beginning stages of getting the track incorporated before anything really starts. Right now we are waiting for the ground to thaw before we can start working on it. There will be designated practice days (TBD). I am going to be talking to the owner tonight to get an update from him. Hopefully I will have some more info but it is going to be an awesome addition to the community and many are looking forward to functions the track will hold. I will keep you posted as I can as I hear new details.
I'll try and check in on it with the owner today or tomorrow. Right now we are waiting to be able to actually work on the track. If the snow keeps melting like it is hopefully won't be too much longer. It has been a LOOOOONG wait for everyone! I'm anxious to get out there and ride too.
Bitterroot Valley Motocross (BVMX) aka. Florence Track is now official! Track work has not begun yet, waiting for ground to thaw. Expecting to start working in a few weeks. If you are looking for membership information, membership forms can be found at Al's Cycle Yamaha in Hamilton! Memberships will be limited for the first year to I believe 50.
BVMX.org is the website for the Florence Track - "The Root" - where you can find all the documents you'll need to become a member. Memberships are limited the first year. Those with working memberships have been hitting it hard on the track, building jumps & berms, expanding, grooming and, of course, rock removal. The track is ready and we're riding every week. Standing schedule for riding is Tuesday and Thursday from 4pm - sunset. We add occasional practices on weekends - check the Facebook page for updates or call 406.239.8708.
May 11th - Mother's Day Fun Race (with some help from the Nirada folks) Beginners to Pros are welcome!
June 7th - HCMA State Series - Rd7 (the first race in this area in 20+ years)
Latest News: One water truck has been purchased. Non-working memberships are still available. Working memberships are full.
