I plan to come up from Salt Lake to race this event (my wife is from Dillon; love the area so I'm assuming the race would be worth the drive).
Couple questions: the first obvious one is the time of year - in early April won't there be snow everywhere yet? From my understanding, snow doesn't fully clear out until June / July.
Next up, how long will the course be? Fast? Technical? Curious to just hear a description of the course.
Thank you.

Snow won't be a problem. Where the race is held isn't usually loaded in snow even through the winter months. So it may be muddy in some spots but that's about it.
As far as the course I have no idea what layout Jamey plans to use this year. Be sure though it will be fun.

kga109,
It's worth the trip! You'll have a blast.
Race course includes some open 4 wheeler trails and a lot of fun single track. There are rocks, but not Big Sky XC loose rock.
The dirt is sandy, so it takes on moisture great.
Pipestone is one of Montana's most popular OHV areas. Racing is on BLM land, but you can access National Forest public trails from the parking area too if you want to get in some extra riding.
See you in a month! Joe
