Bozeman has decided to go a new direction in which we will not be able to have an HCMA race. We still have events scheduled for the summer with quality of our event for the public to enjoy the top priority. We just don't have enough time for more events and the HCMA event conflict rule sort of forced our decision to not hold an HCMA event. Nothing more nothing less really. As the VP of the Bozeman club we wish the HCMA the best and I'll still be doing some racing/event work within the HCMA as well.
Cheers, Ryno

Not gonna buy that it is because of schedule conflicts with the HCMA's ,I would attribute it to more of an Elitist mentality! Good luck with that Bozo sianara Suckas!

First off Kevin, I will tell you that we decided to go a new direction with no distaste for the HCMA nor the people involved in it. You of all people KNOW me and the relationships I have with MANY of the people that have been in the HCMA for years and "elitist" attitude is not one of them I would figure I would be called. As the VP of the club it should be more than evident to you that I have a VERY strong say in what the club does and doesn't do including our race dates and events held with sanctioning bodies. We (the GVDR) decided to pursue another avenue. The Bozeman club isn't the one promoting a new series. The new series is with Matt Keller and Shawn Petersen in which the Bozeman club has decided to fully support. We sat down and went over race date options and decided we just can't play 2 fiddles anymore with HCMA, the new Big Sky MX series, and continue to provide top quality conditions/events on both. So we moved in the other direction. It's like Ricky Carmicheal leaving Honda for Suzuki. Did RC hate Honda? No. Did Honda hate RC? No. Why do you have to act that way then???
As far as how the Bozeman club is percieved by nay-sayers is beyond our control BUT several of you out there do KNOW me personally in which I would please ask you to consider what my thought process was on all of this before we as a club decided to pursue something different. The Bozeman club and me personally wishes no lines be drawn, no wars waged, and just to further the quality of racing/tracks in MT. I will see all of you in Anaconda this year for the first race in which I'll be there working the event and racing myself supporting the HCMA as I still can.
Ryno
BTW Kevin, you should talk to your Helena club officers since they are in the new series developement as well.

Props! to the tracks and facilities that are hosting HCMA events, this affirms your gratitude to the Racing Sanction and more importantly the riders and famalies that made it entirely possible to build the facilities you have today...

We did talk and vote and it was stated that the new series would run on saturdays...and was voted on as such by myself. I gave my full vote of confidence thinking we were going to be able to run two series each weekend...what happened there Ken,Dean,Ryan? Sucks when you vote for one thing and another goes down!

They will be run on Saturdays still. As far as how our decision went, basically we can only hold 4 major events a year. 1 of those will be the annual Rock and Ride event in the spring, 2 will be in the Big Sky MX series, and the last will be the Fall Round Up as part of the RMX series. We opted to have more of an open calendar to fill those 4 events hoping not to conflict with the HCMA as many of us in the club still would like to support the HCMA. Still, there are only so many days in the summer to race with. Nothing has changed with the Big Sky series except that Bozeman, Billings, and Livingston has decided to pursue more of those races rather than the HCMA. As I stated earlier those of us that race HCMA in the Bozeman club will still support the HCMA as we can. I don't see how that is such an evil plot???

On another note Kevin, you know I will be seeing you, Stacey, and Connely (as well as many other friends out there) at HCMA races during the year and I will treat you with dignity, respect, and friendship as I always have over the years no matter how we disagree on something.

TRUE THAT! Ryno we do seem to get along just fine and I wish it to remain as always,as you as a person do mean much more to me than stupid ol mx racin'. my elitist comment was more directed at the people who only support themselves when it comes to racing, Which is not such a bad thing but those who choose to have a sanctioned race should do so knowing and accepting of how things are done. the thought that we need to be constantly changing the rules every year is crazy...one does not see the AMA making a whole laundry list of changes each year.

Lookin' forward to Anaconda! I was so bummed we didnt have a race there last year. That track is truely one of my top favorite tracks. Havent got to watch the recording of the race yet but one of my buddies was sayin they seen us in the crowd cheerin' at Anaheim-1. What a sick race that was! no better way to spend the ol Christmas cash I know. Almost went bankrupt at the Chapparal store. The gal workin the sales counter at the YOSHIMURA Factory hooked us up phat with a new exhaust system, wiring harness and mapping for the kids bike...Yoshi Rocks!
