The way i read it is that only the bikes that cant have big wheeles are the 85 cc 7-11 because it doesnt say anything accross from supermini and supermini means big wheels. But i would call the guy that gets to make the call and makr sure what I think is correct.

Sounds fun! yes we will definetly see you here in Billings, track prep has begun by the Mcombs family and BMC members the track should be awesome!! KTM1 supermini is the only class you can run big wheels in 85cc classes have to run small wheels. and the 150's are allowed in the 85cc classes (With small Wheels)as well as supermini.

Them not posting a moto schedule until after sign ups is the problem...no way to tell where your gonna end up in the schedule. Shouldn't be too tough to figure out a schedule ahead of time. With your mud in the early motos one would think a schedule similar to one you always run would be good.

We realize the banquet is the same day. We have discussed this. We will be done racing by 4:30. Unless their isn't anyone in the late motos attending the banquet. Let us know at sign up if you are heading to the banquet and we can most likely arrange the moto schedule.
Waiting to make a race order gives us a lot of flexibility. All races were combined into 14 motos last weekend.
So head down, moto, banquet in the evening then come back for the band or stay in Helena. Sunday motos don't start until 9:00

Allout so what does your, not so bright comment have to do with what I have previously posted??? I was referring to the fact that the RMX run the small bikes first typicaly, wich is not a good idea at Bozeman's track as they have to water the crap out of it to make it decent for the later motos, and you say it like that track never gets dusty...whatever dude get a clue!

Another class has been added to the Motocross Roundup: "Heads Up"
"Heads Up" is a beginner class thru age 9 that is set up for your "non race" bikes such as xr50, ttr110, klx 110 etc.(up to 110cc 4 stroke). There are usually enough riders who have these type of bikes that really don't belong in a true race class but need a place to ride.
This is an RMX points class that we will run in Bozeman. It's one of the smaller classes so its usually stagger started with the 50cc open so they don't have to run their own moto.
I updated the info posted on the previous page.

Thanks This is not a decision that the Gallatin Valley Dirt Riders alone can make. We have asked the RMX organizers if this will be possible. The feeling I got when this question was addressed was that it probably will not be possible for you to sign up and enter the race after it has already started. Again, myself nor GVDR has the final call on this. Neither parties want to turn anyone away, but we also need to be fair to everyone. We are waiting for a decision from RMX and we will let you what that is ASAP. The RMX organizers are running the Utah State Championships this week in Ogden, so I know they are very busy at OCA preparing for that. Response may be slow?

But get rid of those sand whoops. haha. Cant please everybody I know. lol Unfortunately for you, we are hauling in more sand! LOL. The sand section will be mellowed out a little. We are taking some of that sand and putting it in a few other areas that need it. In addition, we are bring in another 150 yards of sand and putting that in a few different areas, but it will be mixed in with the soil and won't become a 'sand section'. We are also mixing in sawdust and grinding wheat straw into mulch and adding that to the soil. Adding organic matter that holds moisture is always good for our dirt. Dirt work is starting this Friday and the entire track will be reworked and it will be fresh for the weekend. We have a new soil conditioning tool that works really really well that gives the dirt the perfect texture and finish. We will start watering next Monday, to get the moisture down deep without having mud on top during the race weekend. I think parking is going to be better also. You should be able to park and camp next to the track, instead of in the hay field like earlier this year. We are putting in another pedestrian tunnel crossing near the starting gate area so riders and their crews have safer and easier access to the infield area without having to walk across the track.
