just a quick note for hosting Tracks. After practice, and 1st moto's, you should have to hook up the pressure washer and get mud off your bike. Enough said

ya we rode down with Olsens to Reed Point. Junior found the ground first two Motos, but ended up in pretty good shape for the shape he is in!!! Haha, He has some rust to work through, but he will get there It was fun to hit up a race again. The morning was beautiful, but the afternoon the wind cranked up and the dust was Crazy!! Couldn't hardly see

No I don't thing think thats enough said Jimbo. I'll just really love the Reedpoint family...I really do. However, I will never bring myself or a family to race conditions like that again. It was just gettting dangerous. I couldnt see the jumps, other riders...the dust was out of control. And during the "intertmission" I didnt see one water truck hit the track. It was just dangerous, hard pavement in some places, powder in others and not being able to see ten feet in front of you was a big downfall. Everyone likes the Reedpoint crew and family, so it very difficult to say something negative or constructive to them in fear of hurting feelings. I hope this doesnt come off as being too bad, and I dont want hurt anyones feelings, but it was just difficult to ride in conditions like that. But I'm happy to have have a place to race, and I hope things will be better next year! Yes, pressure washer after the practice is a must!

Well said Nothing wrong with constructive criticism. We sure thought being an April race it would have been much better. We were not there but heard it was better last year in the 'Heat' of summer. Just don't get much bang for the buck these days. Come on Helena Wednesday Nighters

Bummer guys...
The rest of the HCMA tracks need to learn from this...those who have water trucks only to water your track may not be enough this year. Gotta soak that thing for days before the race.
Most years we water for 2-3 days straight just to ensure we can make it through most of the day. At our track we have put down 50,000+ gallons of water some years and still had dust at the end of the day!

I still had fun though, and it good was to see everyone (glad to LUKE S. out there racing!). It started off so great and I filmed just a little in the morning thinking i would get a lot more footage in the afternoon. Yeah not so much. The wind was insane. oh well. Jon and Wendy are some great people and the trophies were nice too...even though mine was the third loser! Gman

I enjoyed it...yes the wind and dust made it difficult! Very nice track layout for a quad.

It will take enormous amounts of sand, an effective sprinkler system and time, to make Springtime Mx Track,a place where a quality race can be held. I love the lay out except for a few of the corners that are flat and slow, they could use some berms, that would be a great place to start with the sand.

Howard,Billings only had the few members who show up,EVERY TIME to put on their event Reed Point had the HCMA and their club members and family. The only thing that I seen that could possibly have been misconstrued as a lack of organization was when they moved their classes around to accomodate for the rain???

Well said Kevin thanks, Howard sorry you were dissappointed with BMC , I tried ,I was promoter, ref ,decision maker all in one weekend maybe you should step up in Great Falls and try to put on a race ,then you will see how much work it takes. The quad track will become better every year. Thanks for coming down, see you at the races, Brad

I just wanted to give a BIG Thank You to Reedpoint and BMC for giving us motoheads a place to Race! Conditions were tuff and Just like in life, things dont always go as planned! I know that the people involved in putting on the race at both tracks worked their buts off! BMC works hard to give everybody as many races in different disciplines as possible. And usually buttery smoothe! Good job Brad! Things will get dialed in. My only complaint this weekend was the mini dad cussing at a kid that was in his sons class. You know who you are. Not cool!

I know Lance and his father really stepped up to get the quad track ready so a big thanks to them. If Great Falls provided the space for quads I am sure the support to assist with racing would be there, quad friendly is more than just allowing them to race once or twice a year. I just enjoy the sport and my complaints are minuscule in the big picture...having fun is key and I did have fun!

Ree point was good for what they had to work with, thank you John and Wendy! BMC looked legit, although i opted out and spectated, Brad did an awesome job being the #1 man to run a whole race with help from others. Plus running a quad track too. Yeah, you guys have no right to be critizing him of a bad job, pat him on the back and tell him good job for once. Mann64- I, too, heard a father cussing at his kid, calling him stupid, and so forth! Definitely not a good parental status if you think your kid is going to learn from harrasmental behaviors. That makes a kid want to disobey twice as much more. Not hindering your parenting ways, but maybe calm it down a little. That's just a suggestion, whether you want to take it or not. I agree with you, they know who they are, and it's definitely not fair to the kid!
