Saw a bunch of bikes going through town last weekend and I could not figure out where they were riding so I went and checked out the reservoir. It still had about 4 inches of snow and lots of ice. It has been melting fast, but will definitely be muddy. The water level is quite a bit lower then usual so should be more room to ride until they start filling it back up.
Just an update. Went out to Koocanusa the last couple of days and it was good. Still a little muddy in some spots, but the water is way down so there is lots of room to ride. Water has not been this low since late 90's. There are a few more dunes exposed now and lots of new area to ride. We had a meeting with the forest service a few days ago and they are going to be in full force making sure everyone stays below highwater mark at the Swisher lake entrance and out towards Canada.
