The 50 issue has already been resolved. John Hartman from Missoula has already raised over 1000.00 in a couple of days and he is working on getting the 50's something. He took it upon himself and raised the money. The awards will be coming from crown trophy, so I am sure it will be nice. He also has a few other surprises he is working on....they sound great too. Thank you John for taking care of our future. Thank you to to all the businesses and private people who have already donated to the fund. Julie

Julie That is pretty embarrassing that an individual needs to raise money for the HCMA to fund trophies. We should feel ashamed.

A huge thank you to John Hartman and the others involved in getting this done! Very cool of you all! Maybe we could even set up a bank account that we riders and families could send a check to? I would happilly through a few bucks for that cause.
In thinking about the trophy problem and the 33% thing. I am hearing that officials can't change it unless its a safety issue. Ok, here it is. Lets say Im running in 5th place (just like always), and I know that I won't get a trophy unless I get forth and I really want a trophy! So I push it, and I ride too fast and too hard and have a stoke or heart attack or simply go over the burn and crash into the crowd of unsuspecting spectators. So for the safety of me and all the other 5th place riders...change that rule to what it was meant to be!!! :-)

Haha.. yes, where's the last lap Jay Kniefel jumping over Craig Gagne crash video from the 2010 Bozeman MX Roundup? Perfect example of what NOT to do going for 4th place!
