This Sunday March 19th is Race #1 of the 2017 Last Chance Grand Prix Series. The course for this first race will be a little shorter than normal as all the low laying areas still have water in them. Things are starting to dry out with the nice warm temps this week so we will be good to go for Sunday. Sign-up Sunday will be pushed back until 7:30 am as it is still a little dark at 7:00 am with Daylight savings going into effect last weekend. The temperature may be a little cool in the morning so come prepared. The Life House coffee truck is slotted to be present so we at least will have something warm to drink. No food vendor at this event. Bring something to eat. The coffee truck may have some snacks on board. Also bring a garbage bag to collect your trash. Haul it in and haul it out. Absolutely No Fires at the Track!!!!! There may be some mud so bring a pressurewasher or at least a scraper. It's going to be fun! Can't wait! For race order and classes see previous post or watch for the Poster.

We have a small change to the race order. The Run What You Brung class will be moved to Race #4 at 1:00pm. This will allow a +30 rider a second class to ride if need be.

Get ready for the 3rd season of the LCRA Grand Prix series! We have a few changes this year to hopefully better the series and allow for more spacing between races. We are adding a class for the women. The new class will be a +40 Womens class. That class will run at the same time as the Women A&B race #2. Adding this class opens the door to maybe bring back some ladies who have raced in the past but more importantly help those Ladies who are already racing have a chance to compete for a championship. The other change is to the race order. We have changed some of the race order from the prior years to allow people to race multiple classes without going back to back. Also you will have more flexiblity to race other classes as we have moved some classes away from each other. See below the new schedule.
8:15am - 8:45am - Site Lap 9:00am - 9:45am - Open A&B Moto 1, Enduro A&B, Ironman Race #1 10:00am -10:45am - 65 open, 85 A&B, Women A&B, Women +40 11:00am -11:45am - +30 A&B, Beginner, Run what you brung, Ironman Race #2 Noon -12:30pm - Lunch 12:30pm- 12:50pm - Site Lap 1:00pm - 1:45pm - +50 A&B, Open 2 Stroke, Ironman Race #3 2:00pm - 2:45pm - Open Mini, Open Women 3:00pm - 3:45pm - +40 A&B, Open A&B Moto #2, Ironman Race #4
Race dates: Round #1 - March 19th Round #2 - April 9th Round #3 - April 23rd Round #4 - May 14th
As you can see we are doing a Spring Series. You will be able to get alot of seat time before the HCMA Race or the XC Series starts. We have given ourselves room to reschedule the early rounds if weather becomes a factor.
