Call it what you want: He's charged with a felony. If convicted, he can't legally leave the country, ever... No more Canadian SX, no more MX of Nations. Pretty much: No More Career. Bubba better plan on shelling out truck loads of cash to get himself out of this mess. Speaking of his truck: It's history. Any vehicle used in the commission of a felony is auctioned off. As well, after the lawyers get done with him, he'll be lucky if he can afford a Datsun.
It will be interesting to see what the AMA does about this. If they fail to act, you can bet: Someone will scream "FOUL".
It's too bad. He is (in my opinion) the most talented motocross rider of all time. Unfortunately, after watching him race and about 5 minutes into "Bubba's World" you realize: He's not the brightest star in the night sky. Like JLAW, that will be his undoing. They both should go back to school and get their GED. They'll be needing it...

Interesting Video...
Baltimore Bike Boys? That might be a good place for 808 to look for his stolen 450...

If he can't pay his parents will? LOLZ!
MANY things in life you can't just pay for, pard.
Regardless of how much JS pays through the legal process, a convicted felon is a convicted felon.

And a Convicted Felony comes with a surcharge. You either pay for it or you get a warrant out for your arrest. He was bonded out of jail, and will still have a surcharge to pay for.

don't think $ is an issue for James...the publicity is not good though as sponsors may decide to move on.

He's bonded out of jail. That just means he's free (on a cash bond) pending trial. The court will set a trial date and the Stewart's attorneys will have until then to try to plea for a lesser (non-felony) charge. Based on Jame's clean record, they will probably be successful. Depending on the plea agreement, the court usually accesses a fine and a deferred sentence, which means that the charge will be removed from his record if he stays out of trouble for a prescribed amount of time. So, if he can do that, he will be home free. Well, not quite. No matter what his criminal outcome, Jame's overhead (mostly legal) just went through the ceiling and his stock through the basement floor. If he can somehow manage at least a couple more national championships before he reaches retirement age he might be able to salvage market value that is commensurate with his skills. However, based on current trends, that seems unlikely...

I wonder what it cost him to keep it off the air today on CBS??? It was unbelievable to me that not only did CBS not mention the fact that he was charged with a felony, but Highlighted him in their rider profile. WOW what kind of message are we sending to the MX community? Stewart is a 'PILE'

Don't mince words Jim... How do you really feel? Haha....I always thought supertrucker as the shy type! James looked like he should have been in the beginner class in Dallas...totally out of control. The guy is going to hurt someone or himself badly very soon riding like he did in Dallas.

He must not have offered Speed Network enough as they dedicated a portion of their Speed Report Broadcast to his ill attempt at law enforcement. You may have seen it was top story and it aired directly following the lites broadcast.
